Hello! My name is Cece Sorenson and I am a Junior at Orono High School in Long Lake, MN. Beginning this summer, I volunteered at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute and the Piper Breast Center. I also attained my Minnesota Department of Health Nurse Aid Certificate (CNA). In addition, I am a dedicated member of Letters of Love, where my peers and I create cards for hospitalized children with a mission to bring joy and a smile during difficult times. 

Through my work with Courage Kenny, I help share my passion and love for tennis with children that have disabilities and complex medical conditions. The adaptive program is a community of athletes, volunteers, parents, siblings, grandparents and guardians. I’ve observed the importance of providing the support needed to the caregivers and families of these children and that is why I am committed to raising funds and awareness for Children’s Minnesota Child and Family Services program. As a Youth Ambassador for the Star Gala, I need your help to raise funds for the amazing services and amenities that the Child and Family Services provides including Star Studio, pet therapy, spiritual care and child life specialists.
