On January 1, 2025, Alec, a high school senior and Bethel University football commit, woke up on vacation with upper right leg pain. After many tests, he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. Alec is a warrior with a deep faith, a supportive community and a positive mental attitude.

Incredible healthcare professionals from Children's Minnesota and Mayo Clinic are working with Alec to get him healthy. Once he clears that hurdle, his goal is to get his post-high school plans back on track and play football. The doctors assured Alec they could make that happen! We thank God it was caught early and was localized and treatable. 

In this season, we have clarity about the assignment. We don't like it, but we understand it and accept it. We are committed to sharing Alec's story and helping others.
