Hi.  My name is Katie and I'm excited to share with you that I will be running the Twin Cities 10 mile in October!  I'm joining several of my amazing co-workers in the Hematology/Oncology program at Children's Hospital and together we will be running and raising money for the Cancer Kids Fund.  My entire career at Children's (which has been almost 20 years...crazy!!!) I have been blessed to work with such an amazing population of patients and their families. 

Over the years I've learned what true strength, determination and resiliencey really looks like.  Our kids, our patients, are real life superheros who have made an impact on all of our lives in one way or another.  So, I'm going to take the lessons they have taught me and I'm going to tie up my running shoes and give it my all for those 10 miles! The challenges that I have yet to face are nothing compared to the challenges that these kids and their families face each and every day. 

Would you please  join me in this effort?  I'm asking for $10 - one dollar per mile, but will gladly accept a contribution of any amount.  No dontation is too great or too small...every bit helps support this amazing fund that allows for extra support and services while battling cancer!  Thank you for your consideration and support as we work towards  the ultimate finish line - a CURE!
