I used to work at Children's and met this cute gal from volunteer services. We started dating and knew we were meant for each other pretty quickly. We were both into running and signed up to do the TC 10 in 2005. I decided I was gonna propose to her at the finish line. When I crossed the finish line, instead of waving my arms in celebration, I was fumbling with my shorts to untie the engagement ring from my drawstring. Once my gal crossed the line, I got down on one knee and popped the question! We were on the front page of marathon section the next day in the Strib. After he saw the news, the CEO at the time, Alan Goldbloom, called it a Children's romance and presented my fiance with flowers in the surgery family waiting room.

its so fun telling this story, and we could not think of a better way to celebrate 20 years than literally going down memory lane and doing something for the place that we first met!
