I was born in Russia and spent the first years of my life in an orphanage, cared for by nurses until I was adopted. Years later, I returned to that same orphanage. Standing in the place where my story began, with tears running down my face, I realized how different my life could have been.

That moment gave me my purpose: to become the person I once needed.

Today, I am a social worker and therapist devoted to helping children feel seen, protected, supported, and loved. I know that one safe adult, one compassionate voice, or one person willing to advocate can change the course of a child’s life.

I am running 10 miles for every child who is still waiting for someone to believe them, fight for them, and remind them that their story matters. My goal is to raise $500 for the kids.
