  • What can you expect during this year’s Children’s Minnesota Virtual Walk for Amazing?

    For the second year, we’re hosting a virtual event to encourage daily healthy and fun activities for the entire family.

    From May 3 – 14, we challenge you to do at least one healthy activity each day.

    Activities can be anything from a daily walk, a family bike ride, or a round of golf. You can also choose your own activities. Maybe try something new, or set some goals to accomplish! Check out some ideas for ways you can participate.

    Leading up to the event, gather your friends, family and colleague to create a virtual team. Share why supporting Children’s Minnesota is important to you and raise money for kids and families that need your help.

    Celebrate with the community who was there for you when you needed them most and give thanks for your Children’s Minnesota story. Together we can make the journey better for every family who comes to Children’s Minnesota.

  • How does this event work?

    • Register for FREE! You can register as in individual or gather your friends and family to start a team.
    • Recruit your family and friends to join your team. The great thing about a virtual event is that they can live anywhere and still be part of the fun!
    • Fundraise for Children’s Minnesota. If you have a program that is important to you, all of your fundraising can be directed there. Check out the prizes for top fundraising teams!
    • Join the Virtual Walk for Amazing Facebook Group to connect with other teams, share ideas and meet others who are having fun with you.
    • From May 3 – 14, complete one healthy activity each day. Share your activity on the Facebook Group, with your networks and keep fundraising for Children’s Minnesota.
  • When is Virtual Walk for Amazing happening?

    Monday, May 3 through Friday, May 14.

    Register for FREE now. We will be sharing inspirational stories, fun prizes and helpful fundraising tips and tricks for registered participants.

  • Where is this happening?

    Wherever you are. In your home, neighborhood, or wherever you can safely participate in activities.

    Join the Virtual Walk for Amazing Facebook Group where you can get the latest news, suggestions for activities and maybe even interact with some special guests! We encourage sharing pictures, videos and comments about how you and your family are staying active.

    You can also update your friends and family on your progress from your fundraising page. Add pictures and videos of all the fun activities you are doing and ask them to join your team and help you reach your fundraising goals.

  • How do I register and how much does it cost?

    Registration is FREE. Sign up here today.

    All participants that raise at least $100 by May 14 will receive a t-shirt in the mail after the event. Find out more about our fundraising prizes.

  • Is there a deadline to register?

    No, you can sign up at any time!

    But the sooner you register, the sooner you can get started reaching out to your friends and family to join you and share their support through philanthropic donations. And be registered for early bird prizes!

  • What Children’s Minnesota programs does the Virtual Walk for Amazing support?

    You have the opportunity to choose which program at Children’s Minnesota is supported by your donation and fundraising dollars. It can be a program that has been important in your life, or someone you love.

    During this unprecedented time of uncertainty, we also invite you to support our Urgent Needs Fund. This allows Children’s Minnesota to use the funds immediately where they are needed most.

  • Do I have to track my progress?

    While we encourage everyone to take part in one healthy activity every day, there are no requirements to track your participation. However, we do encourage you to share your activity on your fundraising page and social media channels to keep friends and family updated.

    And don’t forget to join our Facebook Group to see what others are doing and share ideas.

  • How do I get an event t-shirt?

    Each person or team who raises at least $100 by May 14 will receive a t-shirt in the mail. All members of the team or household will receive a t-shirt. Please make sure that each member of your team is registered as a participant by May 14th in order to receive a t-shirt.
