Year 2 of skating 26.2 miles to raise money for Children's Minnesota "Shine Bright" Campaign!
Last year was an incredible (and humbling) experience skating the NorthShore inline marathon and thank you so much to everyone who donated to the "Shine Bright" campaign for Children's Minnesota. The generosity was amazing to see and I'm extremely grateful to everyone for their part in supporting this cause.
I will once again be skating the race in September and will be resuming fundraising efforts for the Cancer and Blood Disorders program at Children's Minnesota. For those who donated last year, you're familiar with my background on why the "Shine Bright" campaign means so much to me.
A former player of mine, Jordan Hansen, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in March of 2017. He went through an incredible fight that touched so many in the hockey community and not only has he been cancer free for 6 years, but he continues to inspire others and raise money to benefit other children and families in need. The Hansen family is an incredible group and I want to continue to help families like theirs when they need it most.
Last year, we were just shy of $2,500 raised and this year I'm hoping we can get to $3,000! Please consider donating and thank you for your support!
