Peter, a freshman at Benilde-St. Margaret's Catholic High School in the Twin Cities, had an MRI at Children's Minnesota on September 8, 2023, where a 2-3 cm tumor was detected along with fluid build up. He was admitted immediately for observation and had a 12 hour surgery on September 19. How lucky he was to be one of the first patients to benefit from the start-of-the-art iMRI surgical suite at Children's, and to receive compassionate and extraordinary care from the neurosurgery department and so many others. He spent over a week in the hospital and continued to receive care from Children's Minnesota rehabilitation. Peter is excited to be a Youth Ambassador for Children's and the 2024 Star Gala, especially knowing the neuroscience departments at Children's are the beneficiaries. Thank you Children's Minnesota!
