I am be running the Twin Cities 10 Mile again this year as part of Children's Minnesota Team Superstars in support of the Child and Family Services program.  This program provides critical support and amenities for families during their hospital stay including music and pet therapy, sibling play areas, and an in-house TV channel (Star Studio), as well as financial counselors, interpreters, and social workers.  Kate and I experienced Child and Family Services firsthand last year when our daughter Sophia spent a week at the Children's hospital in Minneapolis.  Her eyes lit up during daily music therapy, and watching "The Dude" on the Star Studio channel kept her engaged and entertained while stuck in a hospital room.  Child and Family Services is funded entirely from donations, and patients do not see a dollar on their bill for these services, but they make a significant impact on the experience of patient families during a tough time.
