As a pediatric neurosurgeon and native Minnesotan, I have had the privilege of caring for children and their families during some of their most challenging moments. I have also experienced firsthand what it’s like to have a child in the NICU. While my own child was not cared for at Children's Minnesota, I understand the emotional and financial toll that comes with a child's hospitalization.

Children’s Minnesota is a cornerstone of pediatric care in our community, providing life-saving treatments, compassionate support, and hope for families in need. However, like many hospitals, it faces challenges—rising costs, resource constraints, and the increasing need for specialized care. No family should have to worry about affording the best care for their child.
