Stride for Strength, Run for Hope: Empowering Children’s Minnesota
As I prepare for the 2025 Grandma's marathon weekend (Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon), I’m running with a purpose greater than the race itself. I’m running for the children at Children’s Minnesota. Every mile I cover, every step I take, will be a reminder of the incredible strength and resilience of the kids facing serious health challenges at this remarkable hospital.
Children’s Minnesota is not just a health system — it’s a place of hope, healing, and transformation. Their world-class medical team provides care, support, and comfort to children and their families, no matter the circumstances. The dedication of the doctors, nurses, and staff who work tirelessly to make sure every child receives the best possible care is inspiring.
But beyond the medical treatment, what really stands out to me is the spirit of the children and their families. They face difficult, often life-threatening situations, and yet, they show up every day with determination, courage, and an unwavering will to keep going. This incredible strength drives me to run for them.
Running the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon is my way of giving back. It’s my way of supporting Children’s Minnesota and the families who rely on their care. Every donation, every cheer, every bit of encouragement will directly impact the hospital and the children who need it most.
As I take on this challenge, I’m not just running for myself — I’m running for the kids at Children’s Minnesota who are fighting their own battles. Every step is a tribute to them, and every mile is a reminder of how we can all come together to make a difference.
Thank you for joining me in supporting this incredible cause. Together, we can help ensure that more kids have the opportunity to grow, heal, and thrive!
