Hello! I'm Sarah, a lab tech who has ran Grandma's Half Marathon in years past. However, this will be my first time running Grandma's full marathon in June of 2026 -- and my first marathon ever! I will be fundraising for an amazing organization again, Children's Minnesota.

This year, I'm fundraising for the Lab!

Although these professionals work behind the scenes, they perform a wide range of laboratory tests that aid in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. According to Mayo Clinic, “It is estimated that 60-70 percent of all decisions regarding a patient’s diagnosis, treatment, hospital admission and discharge are based upon the results of the tests medical laboratory scientists perform.”
