Run for NICU babies
I was born in Duluth, MN, on July 22, 1998 at 1lb 3oz and 12 1/4 inches long. After being taken by ambulance to Duluth- St Mary’s from Ashland, WI with a due date not until November 11th. July 24, 1998 my twin sister sadly passed away. I was then lifeflighted from Duluth to Children’s MN in Minneapolis for emergency heart and stomach surgery.
I spent 4 months in the NICU at Children’s MN, with the amazing around the care nurses and doctors. Children’s MN and St. Mary’s in Duluth saved my life and i’m forever grateful.
I am doing my first half-marathon, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon for Grandma's Marathon weekend, to honor the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Children's Minneasota and help give hope to the families of NICU babies.
Your contribution, big or small helps Children's Minnesota continue to care for families and babies during their most difficult time.
