I am so excited to join Team Superstars in raising funds for children and families at Children's Minnesota! My daughter Ada (who turned 2 in December) was born with a rare chromosomal disorder, which has required us to see many specialists at Children’s. From our initial stay in the NICU, to two major surgeries in her first year of life, to the many visits, checkups, and follow-ups—it’s hard to put into words the gratitude I feel towards the many incredible and compassionate healthcare workers that we have had the privilege of meeting. I am running Grandma’s Marathon to honor my daughter's journey, the dedicated healthcare workers, and most of all, the future kiddos and families in need of care at Children’s Mn.

We don't know exactly what the future holds for Ada, but she is one tough gal- and my hope is that watching her mom do hard things will give her just a little more courage to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
